Andrew Parker was most recently chief sustainability officer for Qantas Airways. As a member of the Group’s leadership team, he oversaw sustainability, ESG and climate change strategies. His previously held global roles for Emirates Airlines, based in Dubai, and was a long-term member of the Qantas Executive Team.
AAL chair Rob Chapman said Andrew Parker would be a valuable addition to the board, drawing upon more than two decades of aviation industry experience. “Andrew Parker under-stands both the national and global aviation landscape, and will offer an extraordinary depth of knowledge, particularly in the area of sustainability,” Chapman said. “His customer-led insights, gained from decades within the leadership teams of two of Adelaide Airport’s largest airline customers, will be invaluable.” “His appointment comes at a time when aviation industry sustainability is more important than ever. Andrew Parker’s experience will continue to drive Adelaide Airport as a sustainability leader as well as continue AAL’s collaboration with airlines to develop commercial low carbon sustainable aviation fuel.”
Andrew Parker’s appointment follows the death of long-standing AAL board member John Ward in August 2024.
