In 2024, Stockholm Arlanda Airport had a punctuality rate of 80% for departing flights. This is an increase of 4% compared to 2023. Oslo came in second place in Eurocontrol’s annual overview, followed by Copenhagen in third.
The punctuality of departing flights for all airports in Eurocontrol’s network was on average just over 66%, which is 1% better than 2023 and 7% lower than pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Overall, air travel at Arlanda increased by 4% in 2024 compared to the previous year. International travel at Arlanda increased by 7%, while domestic travel decreased by 10% in 2024 compared with 2023.
“It is very gratifying that Arlanda was able to deliver the best punctuality for departing flights in Europe in 2024. Punctuality is always a top priority, and we will continue our targeted efforts to strengthen it further together with all our employees and partners who contribute to Arlanda’s efficiency.
“In recent years, Swedavia has made major investments in Arlanda, including a new modern security control and the new Marketplace. In 2025, the remaining parts of the new Marketplace will open and work to develop the airport will continue,” said Jonas Abrahamsson, operator Swedavia’s president and CEO.
