Norwegian airport operator Avinor has ordered a SeaRanger system for Alta Airport, to fulfil its mission of saving lives in the lakes and waterways surrounding the runways

SeaRanger, developed in collaboration with the South African Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), is known for its cargo capacity, manoeuvrability, and stability.

“We are very pleased that Avinor has once again chosen SeaRanger, which we see as a testament to the trust we have built together. This order further strengthens our already close business relationship, and we look forward to continuing to support Avinor in maintaining the highest safety standards,” said Lukas Brehm, vice president of Göteborg-based Safe at Sea, which designs, manufactures and sells SeaRanger.

The delivery of the system is scheduled for mid-Q1 2025, with the order valued at approximately SEK 600,000 (£44,200).

The systems include personal equipment, operating methods, launch-and recovery solutions, and training
