The facility will accommodate DoKaSch Temperature Solutions’ (TS) battery-operated and fully air-conditioned Opticooler air cargo containers. It has been developed to meet the increasing demand for safe and efficient transportation of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products to and from China. “The new station at Shanghai Pudong International Airport enables us to streamline our customers' logistics operations and offer seamless service across our global network,” said Andreas Seitz, managing director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.
The new station in Shanghai has the capacity to meet current demands, and the flexibility to expand as the need grows. DoKaSch TS will scale up operations at this location to support the increasing requirements of the Chinese pharmaceutical market, the company said.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport plays a crucial role in China's current development. With a cargo volume of over 3.4 million tons in 2023 – an increase of more than 10% compared to 2022 – Shanghai Pudong is the world's third largest cargo airport, according to the Airport Council International (ACI).
