Wiesbaden, Germany-based COBUS Industries has unveiled its latest model, the fully electric COBUS Vega

The COBUS Vega is the world's first purpose-designed fully electric apron bus in series production. Based on proven technology from Caetanobus and Daimler Buses, the COBUS Vega is equipped with two to four latest-generation NMC batteries. According to COBUS, it offers superior range and performance as well as exceptional passenger and driver comfort. Maximum capacity is 117 passengers and the bus features three extra-wide doors on both sides, as well as an additional door at the front right, supporting rapid passenger boarding and disembarking.

Like existing COBUS apron buses, the Vega is 14m long and 3m wide. The roof mounting of the battery packs means the bus is just 3.1m and therefore can be used at any airport in the world, according to COBUS.

The extended standing area of the low-floor bus guarantees maximum passenger comfort, the manufacturer said.

The first deliveries of the COBUS Vega are scheduled for 2025.
