The food and beverage offerings at Oslo Airport are undergoing a transformation, the most significant since the airport’s 2017 expansion

Earlier this spring, Avinor announced and finalised new contracts with dining establishments at Oslo Airport. These sub-contracts, valued at approximately NOK6.bn (£440m), will span five to seven years and have been awarded to six different companies: SSP Norway, HMSHost, Bit Union, Reitan Convenience, LETT, and Joe & the Juice.

While many established favourites will remain or expand, significant portions of the existing offerings will be replaced by fresh, more fitting concepts, Norwegian operator Avinor said.

Joachim Lupnaav Johnsen, commercial director at Avinor, emphasised the commercial impact of these changes, saying: “We believe that the modifications to our food and beverage offerings will be exciting and positive for travellers.”

Avinor’s strategy involves expanding the most popular concepts throughout the airport, catering to the preferences of both Norwegian travellers and tourists visiting Norway. Johnsen added that the company had closely observed which restaurants travellers preferred.

O’Learys Sports and Gastrobar, previously exclusive to the international terminal, is now expanding to the domestic side. Situated on the second floor, this venue offers a view of the terminal near the large departure board, in the space formerly occupied by TGI Fridays.

In addition, a spacious wine bar named "Tigerstaden" will open on the new square in the international area. Several dining establishments will have convenient "Grab & Go" solutions, while others have opened more than one facility.
