AeroCloud Systems is to provide the Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) and gate management systems (GMS) for the largest international airport in The Bahamas.
The initial three-year contract between Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) and AeroCloud will see new operations management systems in place from Q3 2022.

AeroCloud focuses on automating labour-intensive tasks and predicting operational events such as spikes in passenger numbers and congestion on the apron and gate areas, both of which occur during busy peak periods at airports like NAS. The platform’s open architecture provides access to a wide range of data sources, delivering insights into operational trends such as cancellations, delays, and diversions. These predictive capabilities in turn facilitate prescriptive analytics that can optimise future gate allocation planning.
NAS already has access to enhanced arrival and departure data via the AeroCloud platform. The AI-driven GMS will prove particularly valuable in supporting the management of the commercial aprons in order to improve operational efficiency.
Richardson added: “Our gate management system will create a paradigm shift for NAS, greatly reducing the number of manual tasks required to manage its operations, while alerting key stakeholders to take proactive measures towards avoiding conflicts and irregular operations.”
