RAF Cosford Airshow - CANCELLED

The RAF Cosford Airshow is the only Royal Air Force-organised airshow. The show features an array of military aircraft on display from the UK and overseas, along with historic and civil types. 

The show features a six-hour air display with a broad spectrum of aircraft to spectate. There is also a vast static display and more to see inside the free-to-enter RAF Museum and the National Cold War Exhibition. Around the showground there are many other things to see and do to keep all entertained, including, the RAF Zone, Vintage Village, STEM and RAF Hangars, along with helicopter pleasure flights which operate throughout the day.

In 2019, the show celebrated the 70th Anniversary of NATO with displays from the Swiss Air Force Boeing F/A-18C Hornet and German Navy Lockheed P-3C Orion, along with participation from the Czech Air Force with a SAAB JAS-39C Gripen and Aero L-159A ALCA pair display. The latter flew in formation with a Supermarine Spitfire PR.XI. As always, there is a large UK military presence at the show, with many display acts from the RAF taking part, alongside aircraft and other equipment from the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and Army Air Corps.

The show also celebrated the 80th Anniversary since the formation of the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force with an ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary) display in the Vintage Village. On the ground, the static display paid homage to the Hawker Siddeley/ BAe Systems Harrier in its 50th year with a mixed variant line-up and RAF Cosford provided many examples of SEPECAT Jaguars to enjoy.
