Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) is to develop a major warehouse facility at Brisbane Airport for Australian safety goods supply group RSEA Safety.
RSEA Safety’s new 3,900m2 facility will sit within the airport’s Export Park precinct, joining a growing list of retailers and manufacturers including Miele, Haymans Electrical, and Pool Tile Company.
The new building will feature a 280kWp solar system, making it part of the largest commercial rooftop solar system in the southern hemisphere. In addition to the warehouse, RSEA Safety will have an office of approximately 400m2 and 36 on-site car parking bays.
RSEA Safety founder and managing director Brandon Chizik said the purpose-built facility would be an important addition to the company’s existing network of 78 superstores, 6 distribution centres and 28 embroidery facilities.
"The location at Brisbane Airport provides us with the ability to access road and air transport quickly and efficiently to connect with our customers and stores around Australia,’’ he said. "The BAC team was able to meet our specific needs to service not only individual customers, but to provide commercial safety solutions for major clients as well."
BAC is responsible for the sustainable development of Brisbane Airport’s entire 2,700-hectare lease holding and manages its A$2bn property portfolio, which supports more than 425 businesses.
