Noida International Airport is to deploy ADB SAFEGATE’s advanced visual docking guidance system (A-VDGS) and apron management system

ADB SAFEGATE has won a contract to supply the A-VDGS and apron management system at Noida International Airport (NIA) in Uttar Pradesh, India. The greenfield airport project is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International.

The project will see ADB SAFEGATE implement its Airside 4.0 technology, including the FLEX A-VDGS with multicolour display and the latest Apron Manager system. These technologies are designed to improve operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability at Noida International Airport, according to the company.

Bhartendu Mohan, country director for India at ADB SAFEGATE, said: “Winning this contract demonstrates our commitment to providing top-tier technology and solutions to airports worldwide. The FLEX A-VDGS and Apron Manager will significantly enhance the operational efficiency and safety at Noida International Airport. In addition, it will give them a flexibility to expand their apron management systems with their growth and development of next phases of airport expansion.”

The project includes the supply and installation of ADB SAFEGATE’s latest FLEX A-VDGS, featuring enhanced RIDS capabilities, and the latest Apron Manager. ADB SAFEGATE will manage supply and terms, with installation handled by its partners AMA. The project timeline is in alignment with the airport’s development plans, ADB SAFEGATE said.
