The first phase of the new state-of-the-art Integrated Terminal Building at Chennai Airport is on track to be inaugurated on April 8, it has been confirmed.
The new building at Chennai Airport, spanning an area of 2,20,972m2, will cater for growing air traffic in the state of Tamil Nadu. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, it is also a reflection of the Government of India’s commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure for travellers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the terminal, which will have an annual passenger handling capacity of 35 million passengers.
