ITW GSE, a division of Illinois Tool Works, has made a number of changes to its senior management team.
Poul Elvstrøm has been appointed vice president/general manager of ITW GSE, effective September 1. Elvstrøm joined GSE in 1998 and has held a series of roles, most recently that of VP, global sales & marketing. With global sales responsibility for the ITW ground support equipment group of companies, he led the process of implementing a global single brand strategy. Completed in 2018, this brought together the Hobart, AXA Power, Trilectron, J&B Aviation, and Houchin brands into one division: ITW GSE. Elvstrøm replaces Henrik Olsson, who after 38 years of service to Illinois Tool Works and the GSE Division, has decided to step down and take on a reduced set of responsibilities.
David Feuga of the ITW GSE Dubai branch office has been appointed global sales director, effective September 1.
Poul Elvstrøm envisages an exciting future for the ITW GSE division, which he says has many innovative ideas in the pipeline, among them solutions that can help airports and airlines meet their targets for reducing emissions.
“Travel is key to world economic growth and with the increase in a middle-class population in some of the world’s most populated regions, passenger numbers will increase. And we are pleased to be able to contribute by making it possible to travel in a more sustainable way”, he added.
