JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F Kennedy International Airport, has launched an interactive pop-up selfie station at Gate B27.
Launched in collaboration with three local brands, Project 96, Bag Shop NYC and Against Medical Advice, the selfie station will be available until April 29. It offers a unique perspective of New York while incorporating elements of the three brand identities.
The booth design of fashion brand Project 96 is intended to mirror a cross-cultural space that allows people to break down feelings of displacement, whether they are New Yorkers or many miles away from home. Reusable bag designer Bag Shop NYC’s booth imparts a sense of nostalgia as passengers are met with the classic ‘Thank You Bag’ design and shopping carts, while being inspired to make the permanent switch to sustainable living. The area by Against Medical Advice, a fashion brand founded by registered nurse Oluwole Olosunde, incorporates a 20ft AMA 3D human body stretched across the booth, demonstrating the functions that support daily life.
Ed Midgley, VP of Customer Experience and Commercial at JFKIAT, said: “We hope all of our customers traveling through the terminal will stop by, snap selfies and check out our partnering businesses.”
The Selfie Station is JFKIAT’s latest pop-up experience for customers. Where Will You Go Next? was unveiled last July, which invited passengers into the page of a life-sized colouring book and to take part in creating a 35ft mural.
