The disruption in the baggage distribution system was resolved at approximately 3.30pm the same day, according to operator Finavia. The disruption affected the handling of checked baggage at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport for just over three hours.
The malfunction caused delays in baggage handling, which resulted in some baggage missing flights. Finavia stressed that airlines are responsible for delivering baggage to passengers, and asked passengers to contact their respective airlines regarding checked baggage.
