Frankfurt Cargo Services (FCS) is now using a Dakosy ramp control system to reduce truck waiting times for cargo collections and deliveries.
FCS, the largest independent cargo handler at Frankfurt Airport and an affiliate of Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), has begun using Dakosy’s FAIR@Link digital ramp control system. The slot booking tool allows FCS to optimise the allocation of truck ramps by allowing freight forwarders to digitally reserve ramps for loading and unloading, speeding up the handling process.
Ramp slots can be booked online using the Transport Pre-Announcement (TPA), with all necessary data transmitted to the ramp control system, which automatically checks availability and assigns a ramp for a specific time slot, avoiding waiting times for drivers and vehicles. Live information during the dispatch process also ensures maximum transparency.
