Dubai-based Emirates continues to reopen its lounges to meet the ongoing upsurge in travel demand.
In line with the restoration of its network, Emirates passengers travelling in premium cabins, as well as Skywards loyalty programme members in certain measurement tiers, will have access to more than 120 lounges by February.
By late December, Emirates lounges at a host of airports in the UK will have re-opened their doors to customers, including London/ Heathrow, Birmingham, and Manchester, while the lounges in London Gatwick and Glasgow will be available again from January 2022.
Emirates lounges at Munich, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf airports have already re-opened, as have those in Milan and Rome. Lounges in Hamburg and Paris are scheduled to open later this month.
In the US, travellers on Emirates flights can access lounges at Los Angeles International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport and New York JFK. Emirates' San Francisco lounge will resume services in February 2022.
All Emirates lounges have resumed operations after stringent health and safety measures have been put in place, according to the airline. Airport services teams around the Emirates network have worked closely with partner lounge service providers to ensure specific protocols are met. Depending on specific local guidelines in each market, either buffet service or a la carte dining are offered to customers and only contactless menus are available via travellers’ smartphone. Special seating arrangements have been made to ensure social distancing guidelines are met, Emirates said.
