Passenger self-service tech specialist Embross Airport Services (France) has deployed its Odyssey CUPPS platform and Velocity check-in systems at two key Ivory Coast airports

With the implementation of Embross' advanced technologies, San Pédro and Korhogo airports can further enhance their expansion plans and significantly improve system reliability, the French firm said.

As part of an extensive project to revamp the country's airports, the construction of new terminals in Korhogo and San Pédro marks a crucial step towards preparing for Ivory Coast's hosting of the CAN 2023 (Africa Cup of Nations football tournament). Embross’ technology means that passengers traveling through San Pédro and Korhogo can expect a seamless and convenient travel experience while the airports themselves can enjoy improved operational efficiency and increased customer satisfaction.

Embross was chosen to work on both projects by main contractor Ebomaf Group and its partner Airport International Provider (AIP), which specialises in the maintenance, supply, and implementation of visual aids to air navigation, as well as equipment dedicated to passenger and baggage handling within the terminal.

Jean-Luc Rauline, chief operating officer at Embross Airport Services (France), noted the rapid growth of emerging markets such as Ivory Coast in recent years. He said: “In response to these developments, Embross is pleased to migrate these airports to its ODYSSEY CUPPS platform. This transition will not only provide native integration to hundreds of airlines but also deliver a modern passenger experience. By choosing Embross' cutting-edge solutions, San Pédro and Korhogo airports will be better equipped to meet the evolving demands of the aviation industry and cater to the needs of both airlines and passengers.”
