Dan Sloat has been appointed president of Electro.Aero, an electric aviation charging infrastructure firm.
Sloat brings a wealth of leadership experience as Founder of the Advanced Air Mobility Institute, advisor to the World Economic Forum AVIATE Committee, former CEO of an American vertiport company, and former captain in the US Air Force, where he earned a Humanitarian Service Medal. He was named a top 100 electric aviation industry leader by eVTOL Insights Powerbook, along with Electro.Aero founder Joshua Portlock.
Portlock said: “Electro.Aero has been hard at work servicing our electric aircraft customer needs for nearly a decade, diligently developing critical charging solutions in the background. With Dan Sloat coming onboard as our president, now is the time to be more public about what we’ve done and are planning to do in the near future to provide enabling technology to the AAM industry!”
As the first order of business, the team will be raising a Pre-Series A round, utilising some of this growth capital to target near-term electric charging opportunities at existing aerodromes and airports.
