Aerovolt UK, a developer of smart aircraft charging networks, and light aircraft handling provider 3 Legs Aviation Services have formed a strategic partnership to introduce electric aircraft charging solutions at Isle of Man Airport (Ronaldsway Airport). According to the partners, this collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing sustainable aviation infrastructure for the island.
Aerovolt plans to install a fixed 44kW AS6968 charging point at Ronaldsway to support aircraft charging, flight training, business, and commercial aviation operations at the airport. In addition to establishing the charging infrastructure, Aerovolt and 3 Legs Aviation Services will explore the feasibility of introducing electric flight training programmes at the airport. This initiative aligns with both companies' commitment to promoting environmentally friendly aviation practices and reducing carbon emissions.
