The decision marks a crucial step towards securing building approvals for CPK, effectively initiating the investment process

The long-anticipated location decision for the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) airport has been officially issued by the Masovian Voivode administration in Central Poland.

Located strategically between Poland’s capital, Warsaw, and the city of Łódź, CPK is designed to be a cutting-edge transportation hub integrating air, rail, and road connections. The location decision encompasses three critical components: airport infrastructure, including a terminal, runways, taxiways, and facilities for border control, customs, and firefighting services; a railway system, featuring a hub with connections in three directions and the necessary infrastructure; and a road network consisting of newly designed layouts in the airport’s immediate vicinity.

“This is a critical step in the CPK project, and we are ready to move forward with construction," said Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak.

Dr Filip Czernicki, CEO of CPK, added: “The location decision ensures that the project is on schedule and enables CPK to soon start submitting building permit applications, with preparations already in full swing.”

With today's location decision, CPK moves closer to its goal of becoming one of Europe’s most modern and strategically significant transport hubs, a cornerstone for Poland’s economic growth and connectivity in Central Europe.
