The Club SEA lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) has relocated to a larger space in the S Concourse, above Gate S9 on the penthouse level. Airport Dimensions also took the opportunity to revamp The Club SEA lounge “to reflect the rich culture and history of Seattle, with the interior design’s ocean to forest inspired colour pallet providing guests with a genuine Pacific Northwest sense of place.”
The relocated facility has a floor area of over 8,100 sq ft, 165 seats – a 33% increase – as well as six seats at the lounge’s bar. The full-length windows allow guests to take in spectacular views of the airfield and Mount Rainier, whilst also filling the lounge with light. There are 11 museum-quality artworks on display, most created by Seattle-based artists as part of a shared commitment to support the local community by Airport Dimensions and the Port of Seattle, which owns and operates SEA.
The food menu features a variety of healthy, fresh options, including a ginger chicken rice bowl with stir fried vegetables and a superfood sunrise oatmeal. The bar’s offering includes craft beer from Seattle-based Elysian Brewing Company and an array of specifically selected regional wines from the state of Washington.
Passengers are also able to take advantage of other amenities and services including free Wi-fi, a hydration station, designated working zones with ample power supplies and shower facilities.
In line with Airport Dimensions’ corporate aspirations, The Club SEA operates sustainably through the lounge’s 100% plastic-free service with the removal of all plastic drink stirrers and straws, all of which are replaced with natural bamboo and compostable options. Furthermore, as part of the company’s ‘Pours with a Purpose’ programme, a portion of the profits from all wine purchases at The Club lounges is donated to a variety of good causes. These include charities working to tackle hunger across the US, providing support to veterans’ initiatives, and raising funds to support ovarian cancer screening.
Nancy Knipp, President Americas at Airport Dimensions, said; “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to expand our footprint at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The Club SEA’s new space offers guests an inviting and relaxed space that, in common with our other new-style lounges, will pay homage to the culture of the city it serves and the surrounding area, incorporating local elements throughout its design. The refreshed lounge is an outstanding example of how we at Airport Dimensions blend market leading expertise and cutting-edge facilities to enhance the travel experience of passengers. We very much look forward to welcoming travellers into the revitalized The Club SEA and we have no doubt it will provide them with a peaceful and pleasant experience before their onward journeys.”
Airport Dimensions’ The Club brand has had a presence in Seattle for the past seven years.
“The opening of newly re-located The Club SEA is a much-anticipated enhancement for the S Concourse with the return of international travel,” said Jeff Moken, Port of Seattle Interim Director of Aviation Business and Properties. “From the Pacific Northwest art and aesthetic of the space, the Port is deepening its investments in the Club experience for travellers.”
The Club SEA is available to members of the Priority Pass independent airport lounge and experiences programme, along with LoungeKey, which are part of Airport Dimensions' parent company Collinson. The lounge can be accessed by all Seattle-Tacoma International Airport passengers through the purchase of a Club Pass online or at the lounge.
