Appointed chair of the Board of Liaisons, Katrin Mayrhofer, Liaison to Romania, is chief operating officer and co-founder of ELSA Industry and other aerospace ventures. She has over 28 years of experience, including major contributions to CityAirbus and Bluecopter.
“I am deeply honoured to take on the role of chair of the Board of Liaisons at the Advanced Air Mobility Institute,” said Mayrhofer. “In this new position, I am excited to contribute to advancing sustainable and accessible air mobility solutions on a global scale. With a focus on driving international cooperation and innovation, I am eager to work with my peers to shape the future of aerospace and support initiatives that promote gender equality and sustainability.”
New vice-chair Philip Butterworth-Hayes, Liaison to the UK, is a consultant and communications specialist with over 30 years of experience in the aerospace and defence sectors, and the editor of several key aerospace publications.
Butterworth-Hayes said: “I am very much looking forward to supporting Katrin in my role as vice chair of the Board of Liaisons. These next few months will be critical to the launch phase of the commercial AAM industry, and the role of the Institute as a forum for sharing best practices and lessons learnt among global partners will play a crucial role in moving the industry forward.”
Rose Funja, Liaison to Tanzania and Founder of AltitudeX Limited, has been appointed secretary. She has over 16 years of experience in digital technology, using drone and data technologies to support decision-making in telecommunications, energy, and agriculture.
The new treasurer, Fernanda Siniscalchi, is Liaison to Brazil. She is a market researcher, advocate for sustainable aviation, and passionate about advancing clean aviation technologies.
These officers will work together to drive key initiatives that promote sustainable and accessible air mobility while strengthening the Institute’s role as a global supporter in advanced air mobility.
