The agreement aims to promote economic growth and development and cultivate a relationship for mutual benefit between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH).
The agreement establishes a commitment to help improve passenger and cargo operations between the airports.
The parties see this as an opportunity to increase business, tourism, and cultural relations between ATL and Namibia. WDH is the main international airport of Namibia, serving the capital city Windhoek. The pact is ATL’s tenth sister airport agreement and the third with an African airport system. Liberia Airport Authority and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria are the first and second, respectively.
