SkyCore AODB received the Red Dot Award in the Interface & User Experience Design category. This award recognises SkyCore AODB's innovative approach to simplifying complex airport operations through intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.

The Red Dot Award is one of the world's largest design competitions, attracting almost 9,000 entries from more than 50 countries annually. Only 8.8% of entries receive this distinction each year.
The winning solution
SkyCore AODB is a cloud-based solution that acts as a single source of truth by seamlessly handling and visualising large volumes of intricate data related to flights, passengers, and baggage, across multiple airports in real-time. The software is like “the brain” of an airport, acting as a smart computer system that collects and shares important information about everything happening in the airport in real-time. It works by collecting and organising data from various airport systems, presenting it in an easy-to-understand format and supports the collaboration of all stakeholders involved in airport operations. This system allows airport staff to make informed decisions quickly, use resources wisely, and solve problems efficiently, even during busy periods or unexpected events, ensuring smooth operations from check-in to take-off. Its interface, tailored for high-pressure environments, supports quick decision-making and error reduction. By utilising familiar digital interaction patterns, SkyCore AODB ensures a minimal learning curve and rapid time-to-value.
