Patricia Nagata Hamza has joined the AAM Institute board as vice president of business intelligence. With over 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Hamza brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Institute. Having worked on complex projects across the commercial aviation, executive aviation, and defence and security sectors, her passion for sustainable solutions align with the Institute’s mission to revolutionise urban air transportation, it said.
“I am deeply honoured and grateful for the opportunity to join the board of directors at the prestigious Advanced Air Mobility Institute,” said Patricia Nagata Hamza. “I am strongly committed to advocating for and contributing to the development of advanced air mobility technologies that will bring meaningful benefits to society. I look forward to collaborating with the Institute to drive innovation, expand our impact, and create solutions that will shape a better future for all.”
Hamza has worked on pioneering AAM projects, playing a key role in shaping business strategies and promoting new technologies, particularly in Japan. At Woven by Toyota (the mobility technology subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation), she established the market intelligence function, providing strategic insights and market analysis into software-defined vehicles, autonomous technologies, and sustainable mobility solutions. Before moving to Japan, Hamza worked for 22 years at Embraer leading business strategies that shaped the AAM industry.
Dan Sloat, Institute founder and president, welcomed Hamza to the Board, stating, “Patricia has a wealth of knowledge and her eVTOL expertise dates back to 2018 while leading UAM programme management for EmbraerX, since spun off as Eve Air Mobility. We are honoured to have such an AAM pioneer on our team, providing perspective on Latin American and East Asian values and opportunities for community acceptance and financial viability.”
